An Irish Blessing

March 17, 2013

Saint Patrick’s Day has arrived. Today many will be out celebrating the holiday at the local parade. Afterwards they will head to the nearby bar or pub and have an adult beverage or two while they regale over their past year. So as you tip back your Guinness, I will share with you the traditional Irish Blessing.

“May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be always at your back,
may the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
