The Seasons Are Changing, Are You?

September 12, 2013

In most parts of America, the seasons are changing. Cooler weather is arriving and the leaves are starting to change. In Texas where I live, the temperatures are under 100 every day finally, school is in, and football and dove season mark the change of a new season. Regardless, change is here.

I see the two major seasonal changes in Texas – Summer to Fall and Winter to Spring, as reminders to reflect on where I was and where I am headed. I ask myself, “Am I changing for the better or for the worse?” and then set course corrections or new goals. I do not like being stagnant. I want to move and grow.

I challenge you to use this seasonal change to take account of yourself. Where are you at? Is it where you want to be or is it time to get moving forward again? Set some seasonal goals for yourself. Share those goals with someone who will help you get there. The seasons are changing. Are you ready to change?

  1. Every season brings change, and I am SO grateful for the seasonal change this year to signal my change in a new direction! One of savoring my blessings!

    • I hope I don’t blink the moment leaves change here. But the seasons are a wonderful time to change batteries in the smoke alarms and to freshen the “batteries” of our spiritual lives.
