You Are Redeemed!

November 15, 2013

We all have a past. Things we are ashamed of and that we allow impede our walk with God.  If you are a follower of Jesus there is great news – you have been redeemed! These things of the past have been washed away. You may remember them, but you also need to remember God is redeeming these things every day. The battle for them is over. Let go. Let God use these things for His glory. They went from a story of shame to a story of grace, mercy, and redemption!

If you are not a follower of Jesus, hold fast. There is a hope you cannot even fathom. This redemption is available for you. Whatever is holding you back, these shameful things, they are smaller than Jesus! Jesus wants you just as you are today. He called Paul on his way to capture and kill Christians. He called a tax collector. A fisherman. An adulteress. He called them all in the midst of their mess, in the midst of their sin. He took their burdens and transformed them. Are you struggling today with this past? Cry out to the Redeemer and cry for His redemption on your life!

Today, I am sharing a beautiful song by Big Daddy Weave called “Redeemed.” They sing about the amazing gift of grace and mercy and the freedom of being redeemed. Focus on this grace and mercy today. Let the Redeemed sing out together!
