O Come, O Come

December 6, 2013

As we have entered into the Advent season, we tend to forget what we are to be anticipating. Many followers of Jesus forget we are to be anticipating the day we celebrate the coming of our Savior. We start our Christmas shopping in the middle of October. By the day after Thanksgiving we forgot what we are really headed for except to complete the next shopping list. As followers of Jesus we are to be preparing to celebrate the arrival of Jesus, Savior and King.

Today, I have chosen to use the song, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” by Barlow Girl. May the words of the title be a focal point to remind us what we are preparing for this Advent season.
