How Bad Do You Want God?

January 24, 2014

After the cat comparison a couple days ago, I had to think more about what we need to do to change.

We need to learn to stop seeing God as the cosmic fixer and start yearning for him – that deep down desire to be in His presence that was experienced in The Garden before the fall. We cannot even begin to imagine how great that time was.

Shane and Shane have a wonderful song, “Yearn.” We need to learn to yearn for that moment, that divine presence. We need to learn to yearn for the things of God instead of the things of this world. We need to yearn for the lasting things of eternity and not the passing things of this moment.

Yearn . . .
