“North Woods Law” Review

February 3, 2014

Last week I had a day where I spent six hours on my computer tying a variety of things and it was high time for a break. I sat down and turned on the television and despite having over fifty channels to choose from, I could find nothing interesting I desired to watch. Then I came across a listing for a show called “North Woods Law” on The Animal Planet channel. I decided to give it a try.

I was not disappointed. First, it was not a flashy show. It is simple in structure and plot. The concept is it follows the Maine Game Wardens Service around as they conduct their business of protecting the wildlife and people. For the most part these people are down to earth outdoors persons who live the sporting lifestyle of the outdoors and ask others to respect it.

This is a family friendly show. If you are a hunter or fisherman and want to teach your children to respect wildlife and the hunting and fishing traditions then this is the show for you. They can observe the consequences of poor decisions and see the reward for good decisions. Check out the shows website: for more information and their programming schedule.

Enjoy watching this with your family!
